“This wasn’t just an exam — it was a reality check for the entire system.”

The 2025 SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam has become a national controversy — and not for the right reasons. For lakhs of aspirants, it was supposed to be a career-defining moment. What followed instead was mismanagement, confusion, and complete silence from the authorities.

Let’s break it down, point by point.

What Exactly Went Wrong?

  1. Admit cards were released just two days before the exam

Students had no time to plan travel, especially those from remote regions.

  2. Exam centres were allotted in distant or unrelated states

Candidates from Rajasthan were assigned centres in Andaman; Bihar students were sent to Karnataka — directly violating SSC’s own guidelines.

  3. Mismatch between admit card and actual centre

Many reached the location printed on their admit card, only to be told the venue had changed — without any prior notice.

  4. Fake or unlisted centres

Some students reported that the assigned centres did not exist on Google Maps or were in inaccessible, locked buildings.

  5. Technical breakdowns during the exam

Login failures, crashing systems, and non-functional equipment made it impossible for many to even begin their paper.

  6. Exams were cancelled mid-way in some shifts

After hours of waiting, students were dismissed without explanation or rescheduling.

  7. No official response or support from SSC

No helpline, no email replies, and no real-time updates. Students were left completely helpless.

Who Conducted the Exam — and Why That Matters

Earlier, SSC exams were conducted by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a trusted name behind major exams like:

  • UPSC

  • JEE

  • GATE

  • NEET

TCS iON's platform was known for reliability and transparency.

This year, however, the contract was handed to a lesser-known private agency: Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt. Ltd. — and this has raised serious concerns.

  • Limited experience in large-scale national exams

  • History of complaints and alleged mismanagement

  • Reported links to the infamous Vyapam scam

  • Major technical failures during the SSC exam

  • No communication or support to candidates during the crisis

“Delhi Chalo” — When Frustration Turned into Protest

On 31st July, thousands of students and coaching faculty gathered in Delhi under the banner of the “Delhi Chalo” movement. Their demands were clear. Instead of receiving support, they faced:

  • Detention and police pushback

  • Alleged lathi-charge (denied by police)

  • Continued silence from SSC and the Ministry of Personnel (DoPT)

“We were taught to ask questions — now we’re punished for it.”

What Are Students Demanding?

  1. Cancel Eduquity’s contract

The agency has lost public trust.

  2. Re-conduct Phase 13 exam

This time under a reliable agency like TCS.

  3. Launch a transparent inquiry

Who appointed Eduquity? Why? What went wrong?

  4. Secure upcoming exams (like SSC CGL)

    Prevent future mismanagement.

  5. Establish a proper grievance redressal system

A working helpline, email support, and clear communication.

Centre Change Confusion — The Final Blow

Many candidates faced an unthinkable situation — arriving at their assigned exam centre, only to find it had been changed without notice.

Conflicting details in SMS, email, and admit cards created panic. Students travelled to unfamiliar cities, only to return empty-handed.

This wasn’t just carelessness — it was cruelty.

What Now?

A second nationwide protest has been called at Jantar Mantar on 6th August. The message is louder this time: students want accountability — not apologies.

Because if exams continue like this, dreams will keep getting delayed, or worse, destroyed.

Final Words: This Is Bigger Than One Exam

This is about how students — who follow the rules, dedicate years, and invest their future — are treated.

It’s about how one decision by the system can erase years of honest effort.

It’s about why silence is no longer acceptable.

“If we can study for years, we can also fight for fairness.”

If you’re a student, a teacher, a parent, or just someone who believes in justice — don’t stay silent.

Share this. Speak up. Because this isn’t just another exam story.

It’s a test of the system itself.
